A Farm Store is Born

The winter months are generally our downtime at Hermitage Hill, what with the shorter days and colder temperatures, who wants to work outside unless you have to. So, we turn our focus to indoor projects and improvements where the temperatures are more friendly. This winter, Craig turned his attention towards renovating an old shaving shed into a Hermitage Hill Farm Store (something we have wanted to do for years). The Farm Store is something, we felt the farm and our area needed. After all, who doesn’t love, farm fresh foods and fun T-shirts (both of which we plan on carrying once we open). So this year, marked the “winter of the farm store renovation”. Craig and area contractors spent many a long hour pouring their hearts into the remodeling process, trying to incorporate repurposed farm materials (as they made sense), and looking to give this new space a warm hand-crafted feel.

See what you think.

We are hoping to open in the late spring/early summer of 2015. Check back for more details.
